Class Description

AUDITION ONLY! Acting Academy will help students learn all phases of actor training including auditioning, observation, mind/voice/body relaxation, and monologue and scene study. Through improv and exercises students will also practice altering their physical and emotional states to perform and connect with others onstage. Session three will challenge the students to apply what they are learning in an extended performance at the Academy Festival.

COVID PHASE CHANGE POLICY - During the covid-19 pandemic, if it becomes necessary to return to Virginia Phase 1, the current classes will become virtual.

Please see our Refund Policy here.
Prerequisite: Students are asked to fill out an Academy Application and send in an audition video by Saturday, August 22, at midnight. Students need to video themselves performing a monologue from the list below. Students do NOT need to memorize the monologue, and can read it, but need to perform it in character. Please email carson@cworkstheater.org if you have any conflicts with the audition deadline. Class spots will be offered before registration begins.
