Description

Radio drama is the art of performing stories, acts, or even musicals to be broadcast on radios. Radio Drama in stage takes this art and puts it in front of an audience! These productions do not focus on the visual aspect, but rely on the dialogue, music, and sound effects to tell the story. Students will use and develop special vintage props for the myriad of sound effects, as well as unique character voices for the radio drama script, and will perform it live in front of an audience.  Grab the family and gather around the radio as we learn about practical sound effect making and vocal acrobatics. Then we will bring the 1940s from the crackle and pop of the past to a live show before your eyes! This collision of two dramatic arts creates a new depth in storytelling!
