Class Description

The greatest romance in all of English literature gets a wacky, rhyming makeover! Pride and Prejudice, one of the best-loved and best-selling stories in English literature of all time, is a witty comedy of manners centered around the Bennet family, a family of five daughters where the parents are desperate for at least one of them to make a wealthy match and save the next generation from destitution. This whimsical retelling is something Dr. Seuss might come up with if he had his way with the time-tested Jane Austen classic. Students will have a blast exploring acting technique, story interpretation and character development with these rhyming scenes. "I just can't wait, this is such a great option! This play's fantastic and it' s by Jane Austen!"
