Class Description

In this high-energy class, our young performers will explore the fundamentals of theater through drama, dance, voice, and the power of imagination! Students will learn the art of storytelling through rehearsing and working together as they prepare to take the showcase stage in their very own ten-minute showcase of highlights from our main stage spring musical, Disney's Aladdin Jr.! Come explore a whole new world of performance with the powerful music from this Disney classic! 


Wendy Pickenpaugh

Wendy Pickenpaugh is a CWorks alumna, having performed in 21 CWorks musicals from 2001 (as a member of the very first tour group) through 2010. She also worked for 5 years as part of the CWorks Summer Camp staff 2009 - 2013, and has taught Sprockets since 2013. Wendy received a B.S. in Pre-K and Elementary Education with a concentration in Special Education from Grove City College in Pennsylvania in 2013. Currently she owns and operates the Brain Balance Achievement Center in Midlothian which specializing in helping children with neuro-behavioral/academic/social struggles using a non-medical approach. She adores teaching and encouraging kids to reach their fullest potential in a variety of ways. She also enjoys riding and training horses, running, fitness and traveling! Wendy lives in Powhatan, VA with her husband, family and many animals.
