Description

Students will learn essential acting skills through theatre games, improvisation and scene work, in a supportive, creative and fun atmosphere! Class will also emphasize learning the essential skills of performing a role on stage, including projection, diction, environment, partner work and using the imagination. Gain the tools and confidence to relate to, understand, and ultimately transform into a role!

Brooke Abrahamsen

After completing her Bachelor of Arts in Theater at Arizona State University in '99, Brooke joined CharacterWorks as a teacher and director, taking on the role of Artistic Director in 2004, and Executive Artistic Director in 2020. Besides acting and directing, Brooke has a background in youth ministry with Young Life and WEAG, and directing YMCA after-school programs. She also loves working with ROOTS, the High School discipleship and community service program at CWorks. Brooke and her husband, Ryan, and have two girls who love CWorks, Piper and Dakota. Brooke is thrilled to be back in the classroom sharing her love of theater and Jesus with the students!
