CharacterWorks Summer Camp - The Best Week of Summer!

2018 Summer Camp registration will open on February 1, 2018 at 5pm.

Spend some time with CharacterWorks this summer! CWorks offers a variety of summer day camps for students ages 6-19. See below for info about all of our summer camps, including info about our 2018 Show Camp and Masters Camp shows!

Day Camp - Ages 6-11

CharacterWorks offers week-long musical theater summer day camps in several locations around the Richmond area. The cost for summer day camp is $240 per child and includes a camp t-shirt, personal show script, plus daily snacks. A typical camp day consists of team competitions, rotations through drama, dance, music, and craft workshops, a daily theme-related devotional, and an impressive concluding Showcase for family and friends! Past camps have included Seussical KIDS, The Magic Treehouse KIDS, Aristocats KIDS, 101 Dalmations KIDS, Willy Wonka KIDS, and many more. Have one of the best weeks ever with CharacterWorks Summer Day Camps! 

The summer 2018 day camp theme and schedule will be announced on February 1st, 2018.

Show Camp - Ages 11-13

Show Camp is a 2-week summer performing arts camp for middle school students the first two weeks in August.  The cost for the camp and production is $550 ($275 camp tuition is due when registering online and the balance of $275 is due by June 1). All students registered in camp will be cast in the show and must audition in a group setting, though no preparation is necessary for this type of audition. This camp will conclude with 3 performances for friends and families ($8 tickets.) Students currently in 8th grade who have already turned 14 are still eligible to participate. The summer 2018 show is Junie B. Jones The Musical.

Show Camp 2018 Dates: July 30-August 11 (No camp on Sundays)

Masters Camp - Ages 14-19

Masters Camp is a 2 1/2-week summer performing arts camp for high school students. Students enrolled in our Masters Camp will be exposed to all aspects of theater (sets, props, costumes, makeup, tech, etc) in addition to performing a full-length musical production. Camp will be held in the summer with 4 stage performances for the community the final weekend. The cost for the 16-day camp and production is $580 ($290 camp tuition is due when registering online and a $290 production fee is due by May 1). All students registered in camp will be cast in the show and must audition in a group setting, though no preparation is necessary for this type of audition. The summer 2018 show is Hairspray.

Masters Camp 2018 dates: June 15-30, 2018 (No camp on Father's Day)

Scholarships and Refund & Weather Policy

Financial assistance or partial scholarships are available for those in need. Sibling discounts are available to families for class tuition. Sibling discounts are NOT available for summer camps. Email donna@cworkstheater.org with questions regarding the availability of a scholarship.
