Description

Step into the spotlight in On Broadway: Musical Theater Performance! Students will strengthen their singing, acting, and dance skills while discovering what it takes to bring a musical to life on stage. Through energetic rehearsals, fun theater games, and ensemble activities, performers will build confidence, creativity, and stage presence as they prepare an exciting showcase featuring songs and scenes from a variety of Broadway favorites. Showcase material is selected based on the final class roster, with new songs and scenes rotated in throughout the year so returning students always have something fresh to explore. Perfect for performers of all experience levels! 

*Please note: This fall session is 7 weeks instead of 8 due to the production tech week schedule. To ensure students receive the same total number of instructional hours, each class has been extended by 15 minutes.

Cailey George

Cailey spent more than a decade as a student at CharacterWorks and has been serving as an assistant teacher since the spring of 2025. Some of her favorite roles include Dorothy in "The Wizard of Oz" and Anne in "The Diary of Anne Frank." Her years in the program helped her build a strong artistic foundation and deepened her desire to point others to Christ through the arts. She is currently continuing her education at Brightpoint and works part-time as a barista at Reviresco Coffee. Cailey is grateful for the opportunity to pour into the next generation of performers, sharing her love for theater and her faith with the students at CharacterWorks!
