Description

Explore the magic of musical theater! Young performers will be introduced to musical theater through engaging drama games, lively songs, beginner theater dance, and creative crafts, using the power of imagination to develop their performance skills. The class will culminate in a fun-filled, 10-minute showcase for parents, where our young stars will bring highlights from one of our upcoming main-stage musicals to life! 

*Please note: This fall session is 7 weeks instead of 8 due to the production tech week schedule. To ensure students receive the same total number of instructional hours, each class has been extended by 15 minutes.

Ashley Love

Ashley has her B.S. in Performance Pedagogy and an M.A. in Performance Studies from Bob Jones University. After grad school she taught junior high and high school English, theatre, and public speaking for ten years at a private school in South Carolina. During these years, she started a theatre program at her school and directed and coached over eighteen youth productions, while also co-founding a children’s theatre in Myrtle Beach, SC. She recently received her M.F.A. degree in Theatre Pedagogy at Virginia Commonwealth University.
