Step behind the scenes and discover how makeup and hair design help bring characters to life on stage! Students will learn the fundamentals of theatrical makeup design, basic theatrical hair and wig styling, color theory, facial contouring, character transformation, and application techniques through weekly hands-on projects. From old-age makeup and fantasy creatures to period hairstyles, stage-ready glamour, and imaginative character designs, each class introduces new skills while encouraging students to develop their own artistic style. Students will explore how makeup and hair work together to create believable, memorable characters for the stage, adding another creative skill to their theatrical toolbox! 

*Please note: This fall session is 7 weeks instead of 8 due to the production tech week schedule. To ensure students receive the same total number of instructional hours, each class has been extended by 15 minutes.
