Show Camp (GIRLS Registration)
Theme: Disney's My Son Pinocchio JR.
August 3-15, 2026

Step up to the next level with Show Camp! This two-week performing arts camp for middle school students is dedicated to producing a fully-staged musical featuring every student in camp. At Show Camp, campers spend a week in show rehearsals, Bible-based devotions, and intense team competitions, before coming back for a second week to put the show on stage for a three-performance weekend. Featuring sets, mics, costumes, props, and of course, campers, a Show Camp musical is an amazing August event that builds performance skills, confidence, and lifelong friendships.

In 2025, CharacterWorks' Show Camp will be performing Disney's My Son Pinocchio JR. When the toymaker Geppetto wishes on a star for his wooden marionette to become a real boy, he gets more than he asks for. Turns out parenting isn't as easy as it looks! This reimagining of Disney's classic animated movie is filled with heart and features classic songs like "When You Wish Upon A Star" and "I've Got No Strings." 

Camp tuition includes a camp t-shirt and a personal script with music. Camp production fee goes towards the show's costumes, props, set, and technical needs.

Grades
Current 6th-8th grades (Current 5th grade students who turn 12 by December 31, 2026 are also eligible to register.) 

Tuition & Production Fee
Show Camp is $700, with $350 (tuition) due at registration and $350 (production fee) due April 17th (before auditions on April 20th).

Auditions
Everyone who is registered for Show Camp is already cast in the show! Auditions and callbacks will help the artistic team cast the campers in their roles and ensembles.

• AUDITIONS: Auditions will be held in-person on Monday, April 20th from 5-9PM at KingsWay Community Church. Other than familiarizing yourself with the music and characters of Disney's My Son Pinocchio JR., no preparation is needed.
• CALLBACK LIST: A callback list will be posted on the CharacterWorks homepage by 11:30PM on Monday, April 20th.
• CALLBACKS: Callbacks will be held in-person on Friday, April 24th from 5-9PM at KingsWay Community Church. Not all students will be needed at callbacks.
• CAST LIST: The cast list will be posted on the Disney's My Son Pinocchio JR. show page at 9:00PM on Wednesday, April 29th.

Parent Teams
As with our school-year shows, one parent per cast member is required to serve on a parent team during the show. Parent teams may include set construction and painting, hair and makeup, costumes, tech, backstage, souvenirs, house management, and more. Parents can select their parent team preferences prior to camp auditions and will be assigned a team after cast auditions.

Show Camp Refund Policy

• Refund Deadline: The last day for a Show Camp tuition refund is Friday, April 10th. No refunds are available on or after April 11th.
• Processing Fee: Refunds are subject to a $50.00 processing fee.
