Based on the popular comic strip by Harold Gray, Annie has become a worldwide phenomenon and was the winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The beloved book and score by Tony Award winners, Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin, features some of the greatest musical theatre hits ever written, including "Tomorrow." With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City orphanage that is run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations...and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt! She finds a new home and family in billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy. Annie is the perfect family-friendly musical and is a great reminder of the hope that can be found in every "tomorrow."

Welcome to Annie!
Congratulations to the cast of Annie! We had a wonderful weekend of auditions and callbacks with you, and we are so excited to see this cast bring these big, bold, and exciting characters to life.

Your production fees are now active in your family account. Please pay these by this Saturday, December 11th. This weekend’s rehearsal schedule will be emailed out by the end of the day Tuesday, December 7th. All rehearsals will be held at North Run Baptist Church (2100 Lydell Dr. Richmond, VA 23228). Additionally, a parent meeting is scheduled for this Saturday at 9:30AM at North Run. One parent/guardian per student is required to attend. More show and rehearsal info will be sent out by this Tuesday evening, so keep an eye on your email.

As always, casting a show is a difficult process - with so many talented people to consider for a limited number of roles, the artistic team had a real challenge ahead of us this past weekend, but is confident in the creativity, imagination, and talent of this cast. If you would like feedback on your audition or callbacks, we ask that you wait to contact the artistic team at least two weeks (12/20) so that we can focus on the front-end preparation needed to begin rehearsals.

Only a few more “tomorrow”s until rehearsals start! Here we go!
