Dear Edwina JR. follows the adventures of plucky advice-giver-extraordinaire, Edwina Spoonapple, as she directs the neighborhood kids in a series of buoyant production numbers for the latest edition of her weekly "Advice-a-Palooza.” Edwina and her friends share wisdom on everything from trying new foods to making new friends, through clever, catchy and poignant songs. Over the course of the show, Edwina learns that what really matters is not a prize one can hold, but one's family, friends and aspirations. In Dear Edwina JR., the creators of Junie B. Jones The Musical have assembled an endearing, heartwarming musical about the joys of growing up.

Dear Edwina JR. is CharacterWorks' 2023 summer Show Camp production, performed by a cast of middle school students at the conclusion of a two-week camp.

Tickets go on sale Monday July 3, 2023 at 5:00pm

Congratulations to the cast of Dear Edwina JR.!

We greatly enjoyed getting to know you through auditions and callbacks, and we’re looking forward to jumping into camp with you all this summer.

Over the next few months, spend time getting familiar with the material of the show. If you were cast as a character that has lines or solos, memorize your lines/lyrics to the best of your ability before the first day of camp. 

As we get closer to camp, be on the lookout for more camp info from Camp Director Joy Osborne.  Please wait at least two weeks to contact the artistic team with any audition or callback related questions.
