CWorks Performing Arts Classes

Winter class registration will open on Thursday, November 6th.
  • Registration for winter classes for ages 12-18 will open at 5PM on 11/6.
  • Registration for winter classes for ages 6-11 will open at 6PM on 11/6.
When registering for a class for ages 8-18, families will be prompted with the option to sign up for auditions for one of our winter shows, Narnia or Shrek The Musical.

CharacterWorks offers a variety of musical theater inspired classes in 8-week sessions in fall, winter and spring. Classes are a great way for students to gain valuable theater arts training, develop confidence and make life-long friends. Class Info

Each class lasts for 1 hour and 45 minutes per week, runs for 8-weeks for a fall, winter and spring session and costs $275 per session. All children ages 6-18 may register for a class in their age group. In the final week of the class session, classes each perform a 10-minute showcase for family and other classes in their session. Students enrolled in classes for ages 8-18 are eligible to audition for the one of the session's main stage shows. 

NOTE: If you're a new CWorks family, we recommend creating a user account before registration begins, because classes and camps fill quickly and creating an account takes a few minutes.

Fall 2025 Class Schedule 
  • Tuesday classes at Gayton: September 2 - October 28 (NO classes Oct. 14, Showcase is Oct. 28) 
  • Thursday classes at KingsWay: September 4 - October 30 (NO classes, Oct. 16, Showcase is Oct. 30) 
  • Monday classes at Kingsway:  September 8 - November 3  (NO classes Oct. 13, Showcase is Nov. 3)

  • Monday classes at Kingsway: December 1 - February 16 (NO classes Dec. 22, 29 for winter break, or January 26 and Feb. 9 for tech weeks. Showcase is Feb. 16) 
  • Tuesday classes at Gayton: December 2, 2025 - February 17 (NO classes Dec. 23, 30 for winter break, or January 27 and Feb. 10 for tech weeks. Showcase is Feb. 17) 
  • Thursday classes at KingsWay: December 4 - February 19 (NO classes, Dec. 25 or Jan. 1 for winter break, or Jan. 29 and Feb. 12 for tech weeks. Showcase is Feb. 19)

  • Monday classes at Kingsway: March 9 - May 11 (NO classes March 30 for spring break, or April 20 for Show Camp auditions. Showcase is May 11) 
  • Tuesday classes at Gayton: March 10 - May 5 (NO classes March 31 for spring break. Showcase is May 5) 
  • Thursday classes at Kingsway: March 12 - May 7 (NO classes, April 2 for spring break. Showcase is May 7)  

Academy Classes

2025-2026 Academy Class auditions are CLOSED and Academy is FULL for the season. Auditions for Academy 2026-2027 will take place in the summer of 2026.
CharacterWorks Academy classes are year-long, application-only classes that offer more focused curriculum and training for those students ready for the next level. Each summer, students have a chance to apply online and gain acceptance before regular class registration opens. Students will meet for three sessions (fall, winter, spring) with an extended full performance at the CharacterWorks Academy Festival in the spring.

Scholarships

Financial assistance or partial scholarships are available for those in need. Email joy@cworkstheater.org with questions regarding the availability of a scholarship.
